【Skill 4】From 「は」(a form showing contrast)and 「場合」(the case), understand that the two things that precede 「は」(a form showing contrast)and 「場合」(the case)are contrasted

From the following expressions, understand that what precedes and follows the expression are contrasted.

■ に対して(whereas)
■ 一方(on the other hand)

From two things in the same category that precede the following expressions, understand that 2 things are contrasted. They are contrasted even without 「に対して」(whereas)and 「一方」(on the other hand).

■  は (a form showing contrast)
■ 場合(the case)
■ ほうは(a form showing contrast)

In the following recording, 「ありふれた表現」(a commonplace expression) and 「俳句」haiku poem) are contrasted.

■ ありふれた表現は著作物にあたらないのに対して、俳句のほうは著作物にあたります。(A commonplace expression is not a copyrighted work, whereas a haiku poem is.)
